Nice to Meet Me
Card Game & Booklet Design
Project Overview
This project was created as part of my internship at Lovelab, a creative studio focused on thoughtful, heartfelt branding. I designed a set of two playing cards featuring illustrations of my tattoos, along with an instructional booklet that explains the game clearly and simply.
The goal was to create a small-format, tactile experience that could spark curiosity and connection through personal storytelling.
My Responsibilities Included:
Illustration and digitization of tattoo designs for two playing cards
Layout design for both the cards and the accompanying instructional booklet
Careful balance of negative space and visual hierarchy within a compact 55mm x 85mm format
Creating a clean, logical, and easy-to-follow presentation of the game rules
The outcome was a thoughtful and personal project that challenged me to work within tight spaces while maintaining clarity and emotional resonance. It was also a rewarding way to share stories through design and illustration.
What I Learned
This project helped me refine my typographic hierarchy and layout skills, while deepening my ability to communicate narrative visually. It reminded me how even small-format design can carry strong personal meaning and impact.
